The position of the building is defined by town-planning
rules.
This project proposes two buildings with different volumetry, each one adapted to its program and expectation of natural light: one narrow building for housings, one wide building with 820 m2 per floor for office space.
This project proposes two buildings with different volumetry, each one adapted to its program and expectation of natural light: one narrow building for housings, one wide building with 820 m2 per floor for office space.
It is a compact building, which is the best
solution in order to provide a profitable, yet ecological project.
It takes account of solar orientation, which is
essential in order to guarantee passive sunshine.
The front and the back façades are different. They both have balconies on
the south face to provide protection against superheating in the summer. And in
the winter, when the sun rays are low, flats are naturally heated through large
windows. Both buildings are made out of prefabricated concrete.
